Hello, my name is Bo. Last semester, I had the pleasure of taking a philosophy class entitled: "Philosophy of Literature: JRR Tolkien, CS Lewis, Charles Williams, the Modern Romantics, and the Meaning of Life." I had been a fan of all three, Lewis in particular, for a very long time (as well as a lifelong geek girl), and the title alone had me hooked. I had no idea that the three of them (and others) worked together! Out of the loop, that's me...
It was a very enjoyable class, and the result of it was that I was invited to be in a private discussion group during this current semester, along with about six other students. Each of us will produce a 12-18 page thesis on one of the topics touched on in class, or one we choose ourselves. So here I am. My topic is (tenatively) an exploration of the archetypal objects of power in the Chronicles of Narnia.
Pleased to meetcha.
